About Us

Selwyn Gallery is run by a not-for-profit community group, the Malvern Community Arts Council.  We opened the exhibition gallery in 1998, and extended it in 2007, to further our aims of exposing the people of Malvern to quality art and to promote local artists living in the area.

The Malvern Community Arts Council also organises many other activities in Malvern including:

  • Artweek – an exhibition of nearly 400 works held each October, now in its 33th year
  • Funding an Artist in Residence at Darfield High School each year
  • Annual scholarships for young artists
  • Creative Writing Awards for adults and school children
  • Performing Arts events
  • Special exhibitions
  • Workshops

You can find out more about these by visiting the Events page and the Information page.

We welcome new council members or volunteers to help run the gallery. If you are interested please contact us.

If you wish to become a Friend of the gallery, you can find out more about this on the “Become a Friend” page.

We also welcome expressions of interest from artists wishing to exhibit at the gallery. Please look at the ‘artists’ page. If you are interested in exhibiting for 2016 please fill in the form on that page and submit your proposal before July 2016.
